We miss you baby girl every single day! Life is definitely very different without you here. As Haley said, "We hope you like your balloon we sent you!"

Jen from Jenni-O Ties created a Hannah and Hope Hair Tie package in honor of Hannah. Each card comes with 3 hair ties and one headband. The cost is $10.00/card and half of all the proceeds will be donated to Hannah's Hope.

The Hannah card comes with one pink headband in memory of Hannah and purple and silver hair ties in honor of pediatric strokes and developmental disabilities. The Hope card also comes with the pink headband for Hannah and blue and yellow hair ties for our Hannah's Hope colors.

A star of hope

Before Hannah passed away I was shopping on Etsy and came across a wired ring that spelled out hope. I immediately loved it. I started searching to see if there were any other hope rings. I narrowed it down to 3 that I liked but finally decided on one. I loved the ring because I thought it was a fun way to represent Hannah's Hope. The ring had a whole new meaning to me after Hannah passed away.

Just like other online stores you have to review your purchase. For some reason I kept putting it off and I guess there was a reason why. After Hannah passed away I wanted to tell the owner how much her ring meant to me. This is what I wrote:

Dear Lori, I wanted to let you know that I love the hope ring you made. I purchased this ring because my husband and I started a charity in honor of our daughter who was born with special needs. Our charity is called Hannah's Hope. We raise money for other special needs children. So needless to say I was very excited to find your shop. On Monday, our sweet Hannah passed away unexpectedly at the age of 3. My ring now means more to me then you could ever know. I guess I'm telling you this because I hope you will keep doing what you are doing. You never know how you can touch someone. So thank you for your talent! I have something that will always give me hope when I think about my little girl.

Lori replied and was very touched by Hannah's story. The cool thing about this story is that Lori has worked with special needs kids for over 13 years. Of all the rings I could have picked, I picked Lori's and I'm so glad that I did. 

Lori created a star ring in honor of Hannah and we will be selling them at this years vendor fair as well as the hope ring, bracelet, and necklace charm.

3rd Annual Golf Outing Huge Success

Hannah's Hope is looking for volunteers for our 3rd Annual Golf Outing. It is a great day filled with fun and good food!!! All volunteers will receive a Hannah's Hope tshirt and a free home cooked lunch. There are lots of different jobs and different time frames available. Hannah's Hope and Jacob's Ladder

For those of you who don't already know, Hannah had hip surgery back in February. This was one of her more intense surgeries. After about 6 weeks, she was admitted into the Rehab Institute of Chicago for 3 weeks of inpatient therapy. Part of Hannah's therapy included the pool.
She loved every minute of it!

This is where Jacob's Ladder comes in. Jacob's Ladder is a pediatric rehab center in Valpo. They work with over 400 kids every week. That's amazing!! Hannah currently works with 3 wonderful therapist there and once she ages out of First Steps next month she will continue her therapy with Jacob's Ladder.

It has been a long time goal for Jacob's Ladder to have a therapy pool to be able to offer this service to their kids. This is where YOU come in. Hannah's Hope wants to help Jacob's Ladder buy a building with a therapy pool. On top of our donations to First Steps and Children's Neurobiological Solutions this year, we want to raise $50,000 for Jacob's Ladder and get Hannah that therapy pool!!!
